Spectrum Invest sources gold through legitimate suppliers and approved participants operating within the gold sector in Niger. Our sourcing approach is designed to promote transparency, traceability, responsible business practices, and proper documentation throughout the supply chain.

We place particular importance on understanding the origin of the gold, identifying the parties involved in the transaction, and maintaining appropriate records relating to our suppliers, purchases, transportation, and processing activities.

Potential suppliers are identified from established participants within Niger's gold sector. Before establishing a business relationship, Spectrum Invest carries out an onboarding process to understand the supplier, its business activities, ownership, operating location, and role within the gold supply chain.

Where applicable, relevant identification, company registration, licences, authorisations and other supporting documents are obtained and reviewed.

Spectrum Invest applies appropriate Know Your Customer (KYC) and supplier due-diligence procedures before conducting transactions.

The purpose of this process is to establish the identity of the supplier, understand the nature of its activities and assess whether the proposed source of gold is consistent with the information and documentation provided.

Where higher risks are identified, additional information or enhanced due diligence may be required before proceeding with a transaction.

Understanding the origin of the material is an important part of our sourcing process.

Depending on the nature of the supply, Spectrum Invest seeks appropriate information regarding the source and location from which the gold originates and the parties involved in bringing the material into the legitimate supply chain.

The objective is to maintain reasonable traceability from the supplier to the material being purchased.

Each purchase is supported by appropriate commercial and transaction documentation, where applicable. Records may include supplier information, purchase documentation, weight and purity details, assay information, payment records, transport documents and other supporting records relevant to the transaction.

These records help establish a clear audit trail for the movement and ownership of the gold.

Upon receipt, the gold is checked against the relevant transaction documentation.

The material may be weighed, inspected, tested or assayed, depending on its form and the requirements of the transaction. Any material discrepancy between the declared and verified specifications is reviewed before final settlement.

Spectrum Invest seeks to conduct its gold activities in a manner that supports responsible sourcing principles.

Transactions presenting material concerns regarding the legitimacy of the supplier, origin of the gold, documentation, sanctions exposure, money laundering, illicit activity or other significant compliance risks may be subject to additional review, suspended or declined.

Payments are made through appropriately documented and authorised channels in accordance with the agreed commercial terms and applicable requirements.

Payment records are maintained together with the corresponding purchase and supplier documentation to provide a consistent transaction trail.

Supplier due diligence does not end after the initial onboarding. Business relationships and transaction patterns may be reviewed periodically, particularly where there are changes in ownership, sourcing locations, transaction volumes, documentation or other relevant risk factors.

Through this process, Spectrum Invest aims to maintain a transparent, documented and responsible gold supply chain, while supporting legitimate participants in Niger's gold sector and building long-term relationships based on integrity and accountability.
